Haramayn Projects (General)
Referring to "two sanctuaries," the term often appears in Ottoman written documents as "Haramain Sharifayn.' Mecca has been acknowledged as a "Haram" (protected zone) since the building of the Kaaba, whereas Medina was designated a Harem by the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) after the Hijra. (Bukhari, 'Fezailu'l-Medina', 1; Muslim, 'Hajj', 454).
We are sending your donations to the Haramayn, a place that our ancestors have honored and supported for centuries through their works and both financial and moral support.
The Türkiye Diyanet Foundation is fulfilling the needs of our brothers arriving in the sanctified Haramayn region to carry out their Hajj and Umrah duties, as well as those residing in the region.
